Director of Training, Weapons and Tactics Instructor / Oct 2020 – Aug 2022
- Responsible for the training curriculum and development of 31 aircrew into combat ready carrier aviators through classroom instruction, simulator training, and events in the aircraft.
- Hand-selected to coordinate command and control planning and operations to support emergent operations in Somalia. Mission commander for seven combat missions.
Carrier Airborne Early Warning Weapons School (CAEWWS) / Fallon, NV
Director of Training, Hawkeye Weapons and Tactics Instructor (WTI) Training Program / Aug 2019 – Sep 2020
- Responsible for leading 16 instructors and a maintenance detachment consisting of 25 personnel during two three-month graduate-level tactical courses resulting in the graduation of 15 new Hawkeye WTIs.
- Developed COVID-related contingency planning ensuring that the training program remained on track without compromising curriculum completion standards.
Assistant Director of Training, Hawkeye WTI Training Program / Aug 2018 – Jul 2019
Subject Matter Expert in Air Defense (Senior Project Manager) / Sep 2017 – Sep 2020
- Rewrote several critical tactical publications including the Hawkeye Air Defense Chapter, the 50-page instruction used by all Air Defense professionals in the Navy, and produced several whitepapers proposing innovative solutions to challenging problems.
- Succinctly taught over 40 students, 15 squadrons, and 80 ships’ personnel advanced level Air Defense concepts.
US Navy E-2 Squadron / Norfolk, VA
Assistant Operations Officer / Sep 2016 – Aug 2017
- Led three peers through the planning and scheduling of over 1,900 flight hours and 550 flights during an intensive six-month training period and seven-month combat deployment.
- Deployed to Southwest Asia onboard the USS George H.W. Bush (CVN 77) in both 2014 and 2017 to support Operation Inherent Resolve and combat operations against ISIS in Iraq and Syria, flying 37 combat missions and earning the Air Medal for outstanding performance in aerial combat.
Avionics Division Officer (Senior Team Leader) / Sep 2015 – Aug 2015
- Led a division of three mid-level managers and 24 sailors responsible for avionics systems of five E-2C Hawkeye aircraft and equipment worth a total of $200M resulting in mission-ready aircraft, six promotions, and two Sailors being recognized as “Sailor of the Quarter.”
Legal Officer / Aug 2014 – Aug 2015
- Supervised the misconduct investigations of 11 sailors, managed a successful administration separation board, and provided the squadron the equivalent of over $7000 in free legal assistance.
